THE REAL CRC OF CANADA

NOTICE

The Children’s Rights Council of Canada is an affiliated organization of the Children’s Rights Council (CRC) based in the United States of America. CRC promotes, what in Canada is known as “equal shared parenting” (“ESP”) which is the “shared parenting” or “joint custody” concept in the U.S. This shared parenting concept for fit parents is the basis of the “best interests” of children when their parents are not living together.  CRC of Canada is adapting a number of other CRC initiatives to the Canadian environment as well.

At this time, CRC of Canada’s information resource is primarily that of the CRC’s main website (http://www.crckids.org). We are working on providing some more uniquely Canadian information to augment the international collection of information already available on the main CRC website. If you would like to join CRC at this time, please join the main organization via their website, then contact crckids@ourplace.name who is the only recognized representative of CRC of the U.S. in Canada.

As is not uncommon with organizations that have been successful, imitators seek to personally profit from the good work of others. It is unfortunate, but here in Canada there are those who use our name and who seized the Canadianized domain names of the main organization’s site. The name the “Children’s Rights Council” is protected in Canada under trademark number  TMA 0629696 obtained for CRC by the Gowlings law firm in Canada.   The name “Children’s Rights Council” and its use by other than Mr. Brian Jenkins is prohibited.
