Highlights of Accomplishments - 2003

• Walter Benda, CRC of Japan, represented the Children’s Rights Council at a White House Conference on the topic of international kidnapping of children.
• Started publishing quarterly “Family Facts”, a one page pull-out highlighting facts that CRC members could easily distribute to policymakers, professionals, judges, and others who need information on the needs of children.
• Hosted the annual “Equal Parents Vigil” on the last Wednesday of September in Washington, DC.  Many organizations, including various non-CRC groups, held vigils in their states or countries calling for more efforts to enable children to have frequent and continuing contact with their parents.
