Highlights of Accomplishments - 2001
- CRC Honorary President Catherine Meyer held a benefit reception for CRC at her residence in the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. Lady Meyer’s two children were being held in Germany by her first husband, with little or no contact allowed to their mother Catherine.
- U.S. Office of Child Support Enforcement presented a “Lifelong Achievement Award” to CRC President David L. Levy for his “untiring efforts on behalf of the children of America”.
- Hosted 13th National Conference “Shared Parenting – It Makes Sense” in Bethesda, Maryland with Honorary President Lady Catherine Meyer.
- Entertainer Joe Piscopo highlighted the 5th Annual Awards Dinner sponsored by a CRC chapter, the New Jersey Council for Children’s Rights. 2000 award recipients were Senators Louis C. Bassano and Anthony R. Bucco, sponsors of bill S-1095 which would presume joint custody of children in New Jersey.
- President Bush issues presidential proclamation marking Sunday, June 3, 2001 as National Child’s Day.
